Cyberpunk Now Gets: Third Person Mod

Spread the love

The CD Projekt Red’s production Cyberpunk has been a lot famous since its launch. Though the glitches and lags made the company face a lot of sales loss and defamation, the company started bringing patches to the game. Cyberpunk 2077 is played in a first-person perspective as V, a mercenary whose voice, face, hairstyles, body type and modifications, background, and clothing are customizable. Stat categories—Body, Intelligence, Reflexes, Technical, and Cool—are influenced by the character classes that players assume, which are NetRunner (hacking), Techie (machinery), and Solo (combat).

V must consult a “ripperdoc” to upgrade and purchase cyberware implants; black markets offer military-grade abilities. The rarity of any given equipment is shown by a colored tier system. V can take cover, aim, run, jump, double jump, and slide. Melee strikes can be dealt with close-combat weapons. There are three types of ranged weapons, all of which can be customized and modified—Power (standard), Tech (which penetrate walls and enemies), and Smart (with homing bullets). Ranged weapons are equipped to ricochet bullets in a target’s direction and slow them down in bullet time. Four types of damage can be inflicted and resisted—Physical, Thermal, EMP, and Chemical. Weapon use increases accuracy and reloading speed, which are manifested in character animations. Gunsmiths repair and upgrade weapons.

The game can be completed without killing anyone, with non-lethal options for weapons and cyberware. But this all is the game which is played as 1st player. The game has now got a 3rd person mod where the game can be played as a 3rd player. The mod is made to look at yourself every once in a while. The work on the mod is still going on.  As reported by PC Gamer, a third-person perspective mod for Cyberpunk 2077 was uploaded to Nexus Mods over the weekend. The JB – TPP MOD WIP Third Person mod is very much a work in progress – in a test, the player model looked odd in motion, with legs and arms moving unnaturally to account for the intended first-person view.

You can probably expect some more general bugs, too. But whatever it is, we can say the mod will be really interesting. What do you feel about the mod? Do tell us!
